Welcome to Dermatology

The Department undertook the “Dermatology Refurbishment Project” to upgrade and refurbish the Skin Clinic, the main teaching clinic for under and postgraduates.  The department initiated this project to create an aesthetically pleasing and functional clinic that would appeal to staff, students and its patients.  Sponsorships, to the value of over R400 000, were received from pharmaceutical companies, the corporate sector, public as well as private dermatologists and staff members.

Staff, patients and volunteers assisted in the refurbishment of the clinic and this began in September 2013 and was completed and launched in May 2014.  The launch was attended by officials in the Department of Health and the University and was publicized in the media.
