This is an NIH Training Grant for development of individuals in clinical, epidemiological, virological or immunological aspects related to malignancies in HIUV/AIDS: Kaposi’s sarcoma, Lymphoma and Ca cervix.

The partner institution in the US in Columbia University with 3 South African based universities participating: UKZN, University of Witwatersrand and Stellenbosch. I am the South Africa PI on this grant

Building capacity for patient oriented research in HIV-associated Kaposi sarcoma in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa

This grant was in a collaborative venture with the Fogarty training programme between CAPRISA and Columbia university headed by Prof Abdool Karrim. It enabled training of research fellows in laboratory procedures, clinical management as well as epidemiology of Kaposi’s Sarcoma
